A day-long workshop on the art and craft of memoir writing, led by Steve Rand. This intensive session is designed for writers at all levels who want to explore personal narrative.
Workshop Overview
Drawing from his experience writing A Mother's Prayer, Steve will guide participants through the essential elements of memoir:
- Finding your story's emotional core
- Balancing truth and craft
- Writing about family with honesty and compassion
- Structuring narrative for maximum impact
- Revision strategies for memoir
Schedule
- 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Morning session with writing exercises
- 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Lunch break (on your own)
- 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Afternoon workshop and feedback

- Notebook and pen (or laptop)
- A piece of writing you're working on (optional)
- An open mind and willingness to share
Registration
Space is limited to 20 participants. Registration fee includes all workshop materials. Early registration is recommended.
